Letter from CEO William C. Bell in The Economist highlights role of business in improving child welfare
During this 50th anniversary year of Casey Family Programs, we recently published a letter from our president and CEO, Dr. William C. Bell, in The Economist magazine the week of October 15 to magnify the importance of the business sector in investing in hope for vulnerable children.
The letter underscores the responsibility and opportunity that we have when all five sectors — business, government, nonprofit, philanthropy and community — work together to improve the lives and outcomes of vulnerable children and struggling families.
The letter provides specific ideas of how businesses can invest in hope for the 6.4 million children who are referred to the child welfare system every year for allegations of abuse or neglect. We hope you’ll read it and take action.
