Addressing Unaddressed Needs: Helping Agencies Target Services to Children and Caregivers in Child Welfare
Children and their caregivers in the child welfare system have an acute need for health, mental health and substance abuse services, but many of these needs are not being met through timely services. This research brief, prepared by Mathematica Policy Research and Casey Family Programs, presents what we know about the overlap between service need and Medicaid use, and highlights ongoing research involving linked child welfare and Medicaid data.
