Casey Family Programs is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2010 Ruth Massinga Awards. Our Board of Trustees established these awards in 2005 to commemorate former CEO Ruth Massinga’s distinguished professional work, exceptional leadership and relentless dedication on behalf of constituents of the foster care system.

These awards recognize foster care constituents who—in working to provide, improve or prevent the need for foster care—have excelled in:

Distinguished professional work | An outstanding record of at least two years of professional and/or volunteer service that has brought positive attention to foster care and support for the nominee’s constituent group.

Exceptional leadership | A role model who has taken action, produced positive outcomes and has been committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders among the nominee’s constituent group.

Relentless dedication | A champion who has held firm to principles and brought passion to the cause of child welfare on behalf of the nominee’s constituent group.
